Giants Blake Snell Continues Second Half Dominance Overwhelms Orioles

Giants' Blake Snell continues second-half dominance, overwhelms Orioles

Giants win 7-1

Snell wins fourth straight start

Blake Snell continued his recent dominance with another stellar outing, leading the San Francisco Giants to a 7-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night at Oracle Park.

Snell allowed just one run on four hits over six innings of work, striking out 10 batters and walking one. The left-hander has now won four consecutive starts and has a 2.25 ERA in that span.

The Giants' offense provided plenty of support for Snell, scoring seven runs on nine hits. Joc Pederson hit a two-run homer in the first inning, and Brandon Crawford added a solo shot in the second. Mike Yastrzemski and Austin Slater each had two hits and an RBI.

The Orioles' only run came on a solo homer by Ryan Mountcastle in the fourth inning. Baltimore starter Dean Kremer allowed five runs on eight hits over four innings.

With the win, the Giants improved to 63-56 on the season and moved into second place in the NL West, two games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.
