Ansu Fati screamer gives Barca narrow victory in Las Vegas
FC Barcelona ended their 2024 summer tour of the United States with a 2-1 victory over AC Milan in a friendly match played at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Tuesday, August 6.
Ansu Fati scored a stunning goal in the first half to give Barca the lead, and Raphinha added a second after the break. Olivier Giroud pulled one back for Milan in the 89th minute, but Xavi’s side held on for the win.
Fati shines in pre-season outing
Fati has been in impressive form for Barcelona during pre-season, and he continued his good run with a fine goal against Milan. The young forward picked up the ball on the left wing and drove into the Milan penalty area before unleashing a powerful shot that flew into the top corner of the net.
Fati’s goal was a reminder of his quality, and it will be a welcome boost to Barcelona as they prepare for the start of the new season. The 19-year-old is expected to play a major role for Barca this season, and he will be hoping to continue his good form when the competitive action gets underway.
Barcelona will now return to Spain and continue their preparations for the new season. They will play their first competitive match of the 2023/23 campaign on August 13 when they take on Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
